As an expert parkgoer, I'm often asked what I bring to the theme parks. Being prepared while you're away from your home or hotel room is so important! Here's a little snippet of my guide, specifically my recommendations for your park bag and what I never leave home without!
Disclosure: I only recommend products I have used myself. All of my opinions expressed here are my own. This post may contain affiliate links, through which I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. I do not expect anyone to go out and buy a bunch of new things for their vacation, nor do I recommend it.

1. Water Bottle
My recommendation: Stanley All-Day Slim Bottle 34 oz.
Staying hydrated is key when exploring a theme park, especially if you're going to Walt Disney World or Universal Orlando. Most theme parks will have water fountains, Freestyle Machines, or water filling stations available for you to keep your bottle full all day. You'll save money refilling your bottle versus purchasing a plastic one each time.
2. Sunscreen
My recommendation: Blue Lizard Sport Sunscreen SPF 50+
I see WAY too many guests with sunburns. Make sure you're not one of them! Protect your skin from harmful UV rays with a high-SPF sunscreen. Your future self will thank you for avoiding that sunburn! Don't forget to reapply!
3. Fan
My recommendation: JISULIFE Portable Neck Fan
The Florida heat can be intense, especially during those summer months! Toss a portable fan in your bag to keep cool while waiting in line for your favorite rides. My favorite fan is a neck fan, so you can go hands-free!
4. Reusable Bag
My recommendation: Mushie Water Resistant Wet Bags | Large & Small
You never know when the need for a bag will arise! From souvenirs to snacks, a reusable bag is a convenient way to carry your theme park essentials. I also love carrying a wet bag, just in case I go on a water ride... or my little one decides to run through one of the splash pads in the kids' areas...
5. Portable Charger
My recommendation: Fuel Rod Portable Charger Pack of 2
Keep your phone battery charged throughout the day so you can take photos, navigate the park, and stay connected with your group. A portable charger is a lifesaver, trust me! Pro tip: if you're traveling to a Disney park, make sure you bring a Fuel Rod so you can trade them out throughout the day for free! Fuel Rods can be switched out at Universal Parks and some airports, too, for a small fee!
6. Rain Jacket/Poncho
My recommendation: SaphiRose Unisex Rain Poncho Hooded Waterproof Raincoat for Adults
We never hope for rain, but there's always a chance. I don't take any chances when I'm out of the house, so my packable rain poncho comes with me! Reusable ponchos are also good for water rides!
7. Hand Sanitizer
My recommendation: Touchland Power Mist Hydrating Hand Sanitizer Spray | 3-Pack
I'm not saying I'm a germaphobe and I'm not saying that theme parks don't clean often, but I do think it's always a good idea to clean your hands more often than not. No one wants to get sick during or just after you get home from vacation. I know that hand sanitizer can dry out your hands, so always I use a hydrating hand sanitizer.
8. First Aid Kit
My recommendation: Welly First Aid Kit
Accidents happen, especially if you have little ones. Be prepared with a basic first aid kit for any minor cuts, scrapes, or blisters that may occur along the way. My favorite is the Welly First Aid Kit. It's compact enough for travel and perfect for anyone with latex sensitivities.
9. Umbrella
My recommendation: Suteke Small Sun Umbrella with Case
Even though I carry my poncho, sometimes it doesn't rain hard enough to break it out. The compact umbrella is perfect for that! Rain isn't all you could use an umbrella for, though. Sometimes I like to use my umbrella to shade me from the sun! Umbrellas have a lot of uses.
10. Anti-Friction Stick
My recommendation: Megababe Thigh Rescue Anti-Friction Stick
Just trust me on this one... don't forget to get an anti-friction or any other chafing gel. You will absolutely regret it if you do.
Pack it all up!
Hopefully, these tips gave you some ideas for packing your bag for your next park day! Remember, a well-packed day bag is the key to a successful and enjoyable theme park experience. So, grab your favorites, put on your most comfortable shoes, and get ready for a day of magic and excitement!
